CHEF ANTONIO CHOOSES CLASSIC DISHES FROM THE RINUCCINI MENU
We specialise in classic Italian cuisine that showcases the best of both Italian ingredients and fresh Irish produce. While our menu changes with the seasons and is constantly evolving there are some dishes that have stood the test of time and we can now safely in the category of classic dishes from our Rinuccini menu. These are dishes that perfectly reflect what we are about. They are the ones that our diners order time after time. You love to eat them and we love to cook them and we thought we’d share them here with you today.
Pate Dello Chef
Our Homemade Irish Chicken Liver Paté is made using Chef Antonio’s recipe and served with hot garlic ciabatta and organic leaves. Chicken liver is combined with butter, olive oil, some mixed herbs, red wine and seasoned with salt and pepper. Once the paté is made and has been in the fridge for 30 minutes, we pour some melted butter over it and place it back in the fridge. This makes a seal to help preserve the paté. A beautiful starter and a true customer favourite.
Sogliola all Griglia
Fresh Kilmore Quay Black Sole is served on the bone and finished with white wine, lemon, garlic, extra virgin olive oil and fresh parsley. So simple, but cooked well it is one of the nicest seafood meals you will every eat. Have it as is or ask for it to be topped with fresh Kilmore Quay Prawns. This is a beautiful fish that we source fresh from the boats in Kilmore Quay.
Anatra al Profumo d’Arancia
For this dish, award winning Silver Hill Irish duckling is very slowly oven baked in a fresh orange juice and Aurum liquor sauce until crisp. The duck is full of flavour, succulent and tender. Aurum is a sweet Italian liquor that comes from the Pescara region. It’s made from brandy with citrus fruit infusions that adds an additional layer of citrus flavour to the duck. A dish that is very popular at this time of year.
Ravioli alla Crema di Gorgonzola €18
Described by Lucinda O’Sullivan as “ethereal” this is a must order dish for pasta lovers. Fresh Ravioli is handmade in our kitchen and stuffed with ricotta & spinach, and served in a cream, gorgonzola & roast Italian walnut sauce. We only use fresh egg pasta made with organic eggs to make our ravioli. Enjoy with a crisp Italian white wine.
This list would not be complete without including our famous Rinuccini Tiramisu Classico. Layers of sponge, laced with rum and espresso coffee, filled with zabaglione, topped with cocoa & shavings of dark Italian Chocolate. It is our favourite dessert and with good reason. We make ours from scratch and it’s so popular that we also offer our customers the option of purchasing an entire cake to enjoy at home.
