Rinuccini chosen for Bord Bia’s award winning restaurants map

Bord Bia has launched a new interactive map featuring 65 award-winning restaurants across the country as part of their Just Ask initiative. The Just Ask map allows diners to easily locate award-winning restaurants close by for a meal featuring the best of local Irish ingredients.

All of the featured restaurants have been specially selected by Bord Bia and renowned food writer Georgina Campbell for excellence in sourcing and serving fresh, seasonal and locally sourced ingredients. Ristorante Rinuccini is delighted to be included in amongst those chosen to feature on the innovative map.114_0069

Developed in response to consumers’ increasing interest and support of local foods, each restaurant featured has shown best practice and transparency in food sourcing, encouraging engagement in food provenance.

As regular customers of Rinuccini will already know, we put great effort into finding the very best local ingredients including, Purcell’s Farm and Thomas Roche of Kilmore Quay, while all our Italian ingredients are imported directly from Chef Antonio’s home surroundings of Lazio in Italy. One of the highlights of our week is the twice-weekly trip to the near-by seaside village of Kilmore Quay to find the freshest fish available for our diners.Antonio_Fishing

Having been in business for over 25 years, we attribute much of our success to the excellence of our ingredients; the quality comes through in every dish served by Chef Antonio and the team.

Food has an unmatched ability to communicate a unique sense of place. Locally sourced ingredients provide a direct connection to the history of a region and offer diners a unique culinary experience. The Just Ask map will be invaluable for tourists and travelling diners as a recent report found that culinary travel experiences are now the most popular method for driving tourism businesses.
