Knockdrinna Farmhouse Cheese have been making cheese since 2004 at our Farm in Stoneyford Co Kilkenny. Our first creations began in the Kitchen with some cow’s milk from a local farmer. We soon became fascinated with Goat’s cheese and began to use the best quality goats milk from the certified herd of Hugh Daniels, a local farmer. Hugh had only a handful of goats to begin with but as the demand for goats cheese was growing, so to did Hugh’s herd. He now milks over a hundred goats which Knockdrinna converts into its now widening range of goat’s cheeses.

Silver Hill Foods is a fully integrated family owned duck company. Founded over 40 years ago by Ronnie and Lyla Steele in Emyvale, Co. Monaghan. The present Managing Director is their son Stuart Steele.

All aspects of our duck production are owned and controlled by Silver Hill Foods from breeding, egg production, hatching and selection to processing and cooking. The success of Silver Hill Foods lies in the unique Silver Hill Hybrid duck. Continually developed over the years, to produce a duck that is full of flavour, succulent, tender and consistent in its quality. This breed is exclusive to Silver Hill Foods.

Good Food Ireland was founded by Margaret Jeffares in November 2006. It operates as a not-for-profit, industry driven Irish food tourism organisation. It is the only industry group with an all-island food tourism strategy. Good Food Ireland provides business benefit for the membership through its framework which allows them to penetrate from local community to the global market and vice versa. Good Food Ireland has a Steering Group led by a Chairman who advises on the future strategy of the organisation.
